Rascal Flatts is comin’, y’all

The country group has sold about a gazillion records, and had 10 No. 1 hits, including “Here” and “Here Comes Goodbye” this year alone. They’ll be playing Portland the night before Halloween.

Uncle Kracker

This star, who mixes idiosyncratic country-flavored pop and rock ’n’ roll, will play Portland, shortly after releasing the album “Happy Hour” with the hit single, “Smile.” In 2001, Uncle Kracker made his debut with “Double Wide,” which included the No. 1 smash “Follow Me,” followed by “No Stranger to Shame” with a cover of the Dobie Gray classic “Drift Away.”

CONCERTS

Gay men’s chorus

The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus subgroup Cascade, under the direction of Mary McCarty, will perform music inspired by the briny deep in “Songs From the Sea: A Classical Matinee.” The concert will include works from two of the 20th century’s greatest composers, Benjamin Britten and Ralph Vaughan Williams, as well as Scottish folk songs “Loch Lomond” and “Skye Boat Song.” The full 135-member chorus will sing as well.
