Police have arrested two teen boys in connection with a shots-fired call Thursday evening in Northeast Portland.
Daniel Binns and Erick Butler, both 16, are charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, reckless endangering, disorderly conduct and interfering with public transportation.
Two handguns were found at the scene, police said, but no victim was identified.
At least five people were detained Thursday night after shots were reportedly fired around 7:10 p.m. in the 1500 block Northeast 82nd Avenue.
Portland Police Bureau Sgt. Brian Schmautz said some of the suspects ran toward the tracks near the Northeast 82nd Avenue MAX Light Rail Station.
TriMet had to hold its MAX trains and bus passengers between PDX and the Rose Quarter for about an hour. The 1500 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue was also shut down.
