TUALATIN – A 19-year-old Cornelius man tried to pay for a lap dance at Tualatin’s Jiggles Tavern with a $20 bill and a baggy of cocaine, police say.
A Tualatin police report did not make clear whether the man’s offer was promptly rebuffed. But he was hauled off to jail later that night.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, police arrested Jose Angel Bruno Melgar for unlawful possession of cocaine. Melgar was arrested outside the club at about 10:15 p.m.
A bouncer from the strip club called police to report Melgar’s offered lap dance payment. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Massey said the bouncer for the strip club escorted the man outside when police arrived.
According to police, Melgar admitted to giving the baggy of cocaine to the dancer. The cocaine, according to police, measured .4 grams and had a street value of $20.
“We commend the employees of Jiggles because they were active participants in policing their business,” Massey said.
Whereas methamphetamines had long been the most widely seen drug in the city, Tualatin officers are encountering cocaine and heroin more often in their arrests Massey said.
“Cocaine is making a little bit of a comeback,” said Massey.
Paying with cocaine is so '90's. What he should have done is paid with a 20 and a gas card of some decent denomination.

“Cocaine is making a little bit of a comeback”
HELLO? Cocaine is the most casual party drug in thePortland region. Casual meaning, its easy to get and no one cares if ou have it. If your in your mid to late 20's you see it everywhere...it has made a come back and its a bigger come back than most might think.
Wake up people.

Seems to me that the 'Strip Club' didn't take into consideration the fact that this guy was drinking in their club at the age of 19!
What statement has the OLCC made? Does the tavern pay a fine or are they off the hook because they finked the guy out?
Let's hear the rest of this tale of stupidity!
(Now the bozo will roll on his contact who will then do the same to his supplier which will bring in ICE who will clean up the city!.....Would be fitting if he bought the coke at the club!)

Art Fargo:
Jiggles is a "juice-bar" so you only have to be 18 to get it. They don't serve alcohol. Though, trying to pay with cocaine leads me to believe this idiot had one too many before going to the club.

Art -
It's a "juice bar"; they don't serve alcohol and you only have to be 18 to get in...and apparently they don't take cocaine as currency either.

Art-
"the rest of this tale of stupidity" was clearly submitted by you. First, the OLCC has no jurisdiction over a place last doesn't serve alcohol - and where does it say anything about the guy drinking? Second, what makes you think that this idiot has anything to do with illegal immigrants smuggling cocaine? Is it his name? His photo?
I think you're just an 'stupid' racist.

Don't know what all the hub bub is about. Paola used to try to pay workers with dope out in Sandy/Boring area.
Everyone in town knew about it except the Sandy cops...or maybe they did...who knows?

Kudos to Jiggles for running a lawful establishment. I commend the dancer and bouncer for quickly taking action and notifying police of this idiot's illegal actions. My guess is he was trying to get more than just a dance by offering a baggie of blow. Stick to the green next time pal, and I don't mean bud....
