Gresham police have arrested a 17-year-old Portland man in the New Years Eve shooting that left two men dead.
Raymond Andrew Lawrence has been charged with murder and is being held on $250,000 bail.
He is suspected of killing two 18-year-old Portland men, Darius Jerrel Perry and Willy Lewis Butler.
The victims were found at about 7:58 p.m. on Dec. 31 when police responded to reports of gunshots at the Barberry Village apartment complex. A resident of the apartments called police, saying there were a couple of people firing guns as they ran through the complex.
When police arrived, they quickly found Perry lying in the street. Paramedics were called to treat Perry, but he died at the scene.
Detectives and crime scene investigators were called in as police interviewed a number of friends and relatives of Perry and canvassed the neighborhood.
