Here is a timeline of significant events in Ward Weaver’s life since February 2000 and local law enforcement’s investigation of him in connection with the disappearances of Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis. The investigation history includes reports from local law enforcement agencies involved in the missing girls task force. The log does not include reports prepared by the FBI.

February 2000 Ð Ward Weaver’s girlfriend, Tammy Place, and her then-8-year-old daughter are living with Weaver and his then-10-year-old daughter, Mallori Weaver, in the house on South Beavercreek Road at least as of this date.

March-August 2001 (approximately) Ð Weaver says that Ashley Pond stayed at his house for extended periods during this time, which Lori Pond, Ashley’s mother, has denied.

Summer 2001 Ð Ashley vacations in California with Weaver, Mallori, Place and her daughter.

Dec. 25-early January Ð Place and her daughter move out sometime during this period.

Jan. 9 Ð Ashley disappears.

Jan. 19 Ð Dog handler Marty Neiman and dog and a Clackamas County sheriff’s deputy search the property around Weaver’s house; Weaver does not allow them to search inside the house.

Feb. 23 Ð Miranda Gaddis spends the night at Weaver’s house for his daughter, Mallori’s, birthday.

March 4 Ð Nonlaw-enforcement dog handler Harry Oakes writes Pond and offers to have his dog search areas of potential interest for Ashley.

March 7 Ð Oakes meets with Pond and gets article of Ashley’s to use for scent cues.

March 8 Ð Miranda Gaddis disappears. Oregon City Police Department report on Miranda’s disappearance mentions Weaver.

March 10 Ð Oakes and his dog search the canyon below Weaver’s house.

March 15 Ð Oakes and his dog search Weaver’s property. Oakes says that Weaver tells him to “stay away from freshly laid concrete” because he doesn’t “want it messed up.” Dog gives “death alert” at back of house.

April 2 Ð Oakes provides Oregon City Police Department with search findings.

May 7 Ð Task force report mentions Weaver’s daughter, Mallori.
