The mountaintop was, in this instance, the Child Abuse Summit and Family Violence Conference, sponsored by the Clackamas County sheriff’s office and held in Portland from April 21 to April 23.
I attended, not as one of the 640 professionals from 18 states seeking to enhance their education in specialized fields, but as a bystander, much as a surveyor would look around 360 degrees from a summit.
We’ve all come down from the slopes now; it’s time to summarize, analyze and improve.
