Oregon can re-emerge on the national radar. Michigan can regain some pride after its monumental loss to Appalachian State.
Then again, at least one Michigan player wasn’t putting much significance on the loss to “Appy State.”
“I don’t think we’re that worried about it. It happens,” senior linebacker Shawn Crable says. “We’re still in the race for the (national) championship. If we come out and play good against Oregon and get a win, I think we’ll be right back in there.”
Big plays aside, I’m not seeing much sign of run-stuffing, physical and dominating play from the UO defense. Michigan running back Mike Hart could have a field day, although the Ducks held Chris Perry to 26 yards — and Michigan to minus-3 yards on 19 attempts — in Oregon’s 2003 win at Autzen Stadium.
Offensively, the Ducks will move the ball and score with QB Dennis Dixon and his talented personnel against UM’s suspect defense.
But it’s win or bust for the Wolverines.

If speed was the achilles heal for Michigan, what in the world will they do all year against other teams including a lightening decision making spread offense with D-1 players ala Oregon? Does UM need to win? Oh Yeah!!! Will they?....Oh No!! Noise will not be a factor and the run game will prevail, just not in the traditional way of splitting the tackles. JS and JJ along with Paysinger and JWill will show the size and speed it will take to overcome any Big House oura. A better than average cornerback duo will help keep Henne in check and not go mad but I believe they will have an excellent running game day. Nevertheless the outcome will reflect a sooner than later departure for LC..... Oregon 31 UM 24

I think it will be bust for Michigan. Michigan will be awake and ready. Mike Hart will gain yards. In summation, Michigan will not overcome it main short coming which is a lack of speed.
