Timbers vs. Seattle

Records: Portland (3-0-1, 10 points, first place), Seattle (1-1-1, four points, tied for sixth)

• Seattle is coming off a 2-0 win at Atlanta in what was a rematch of last year's championship game.

• On April 26, Portland beat the defending USL First Division champs 20 at PGE Park.

Coach Gavin Wilkinson says the Timbers will go into the rematch with a different strategy.

“I think we’ll go at them a little bit more and see how they react to that,” he says.

The game is Seattle’s home opener and only appearance at Qwest Field this year. The Sounders will play their other regular-season home games at Starfire Complex in Tukwila, Wash., where they train.

• Sounder forward Roger Levesque (ankle sprain) is listed as "possible" for the match.

• Seattle has just added Paris-born midfielder Youssouf Kante. He has had tryouts with Toronto and Kansas City of Major League Soccer.

• One of the Timber defense’s goals going into the season? To not allow a goal at home all year.

The perfect season ended in game two against Minnesota, but Portland has given up just one score in four games, all at home.
