Former Portland Timber goalkeeper Josh Wicks, who joined the Los Angeles Galaxy before the season, is out four to six weeks tearing the meniscus in his left knee.
Wicks underwent surgery Monday in Santa Monica, Calif.
Wicks has been the backup goalkeeper for MLS games and played in all four of the reserve division matches.
The Timbers expect to get another Galaxy player, forward Bryan Jordan, back on loan for a second stint in Portland this season.
