L.O. rolls 47-0 in the Civil War

Lake Oswego tight end Naone Cole hauls in a three-yard pass for a touchdown on the Lakers first possesion of the night as they rolled to a 47-0 win over Lakeridge.

No. 1 Lake Oswego rolled over crosstown rival Lakeridge 47-0 in the Civil War game on Friday. There wasn't much tension in the contest with the Lakers taking a 28-0 lead at the half and then playing everyone on the roster by the time the game was over.

The Lakers scored on their first possession in six plays as Cole Naone caught a three-yard pass from Jack Lomax.

The Pacers fumbled the ball away on their opening drive but Lakeridge's Danny Kloucek intercepted a Lomax pass in the end zone. It was Lomax's first pick of the season.

The Lakers would score again early in the second quarter with Tyson Coleman reaching the end zone from one yard out.

Lomax would also hit Micah Hatfield and A.J. Frank for scoring passes in the half.

Early in the third quarter, Lomax threw his last touchdown of the night to Naone again as coach Steve Coury cleared the bench.

Lake Oswego put the ball in the end zone twice more on runs by Brock Pellow and Tom Belesiu.

The Lakers (4-0) hosts Putnam next week while Lakeridge (0-4) travels to Clackamas.
