The Trail Blazers have scheduled a benefit scrimmage at Cleveland High in the middle of their preseason schedule.
The team plans to conduct an intrasquad game, with eight-minute quarters, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16.
The event also will serve as the dedication night for Cleveland's basketball court, which was refurbished last year through funds provided by the Blazers.
Twelve courts at 10 Portland high schools were renovated as part of the Blazers' "Make it Better" community program.
Cleveland's gym seats about 1,300 people, according to the school.
Tickets are $5, and a large majority of them will be sold at Cleveland, with a limited number of tickets to be sold at the other PIL schools. No tickets will be sold at the game. All revenue will go to the schools.
The Blazers will play eight preseason games. The fourth outing is Oct. 12 at home against Utah, and Game 5 is Oct. 20 at Sacramento.
