Washington runners continued their overall reign over Oregon in the annual Nike BorderClash on Sunday.
Before a crowd of more than 2,000, the top 40 boys and 40 girls high school cross-country runners from each state competed on the Nike campus in Beaverton.
Washington extended its lead in the series to 8-2 with a combined victory of 143-217, but Oregon took the girls event 73-98.
Taylor Wallace, a Henley senior who won the Oregon Class 4A state title, was the girls individual winner. The Klamath Falls resident finished in 16 minutes, 27.47 seconds.
Second in the girls chase was 6A champion Annamarie Maag of Jesuit in 16:32.74.
Oregon girls took the top four spots. Gresham's Khalia Tidwell was fourth. Sixth overall, and fifth on the Oregon team, was Alexandra Jones of St. Mary's Academy. In 10th was Jesuit's Payton Schutte, the sixth Oregon finisher.
