Kenneth Acker did it in just about every way possible Thursday, leading the Grant Generals to a 54-14 victory over the outmanned Wilson Trojans in a PIL 6A league opener at Lincoln.
Acker, the Generals' senior quarterback/free safety/return specialist, had a direct role in five first-half touchdowns in the start-to-finish win that had Grant emptying its bench early.
Acker merely handed the ball off on Grant's first score — a 62-yard touchdown dash by Isiah Jones on their team's third play from scrimmage.
After Wilson went three-and-out, Acker hit wide receiver Booker Wells in stride with a 50-yard bomb, giving Grant a 14-0 lead.
Wilson was forced to punt quickly again, and Acker returned the kick 70 yards for a touchdown and a 20-0 advantage.
