Big plays propel Lake Oswego past West Linn 27-14

The Lakers only attempted four passes all game long but, as it turned out, the running game was more than enough to lead the team to a 27-14 win over West Linn. The victory leaves Lake Oswego as the only unbeaten team left in Three Rivers League play.

Lake Oswego got on the board just 90 seconds into the game when, on the third play from scrimmage, Whit Bissett broke a 44-yard run into the end zone.

West Linn had the ball in Lake Oswego territory for much of the first half but simply couldn't convert.

The Lake Oswego defense was solid all night particularly in the secondary as the Lions didn't find much success through the air until late in the game.

The Lakers took a 7-0 lead into halftime and, after holding West Linn to a three and out on the Lions' first possession of the third quarter, Dylan Stowell broke a 69-yard touchdown run on Lake Oswego's first play to make it 14-0.
