BEAVERTON — Jesuit left nothing on the table Friday night.
The Crusader football team won its sixth straight game on Friday night and did so in impressive fashion, routing traditional rival Beaverton 53-0 at Beaverton High School behind Jordan Talley's four touchdowns and three more from Keanon Lowe.
The win kept Jesuit in sole possession of first place in the Metro League at 3-0 (6-1 overall) while Beaverton fell to 1-2 (3-4 overall) and a tie for fourth place with Aloha.
"From week one to now, this is tenfold better," said Jesuit senior quarterback Jeff Elorriaga, who completed 5-of-7 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. "We’re just keeping rolling. I’m happy. I couldn’t be more satisfied with our team right now."
As good as the Crusaders' offense was — it racked up 385 yards on the ground and 537 yards in total offense — the Jesuit defense was just as good.
The Crusaders limited Beaverton to 92 yards in total offense and gave up just seven first downs.
"Everyone was really focused tonight," said Jesuit senior linebacker Dominique Forrest. "We knew Dylan (Jackson) was a good back. We knew Jamal (Keuter) was a good scrambler. We just tried to contain them and it worked out."
