KERRY SAYS: Bruins better than they've looked, and it won't be easy for OSU

UCLA has lost four games in a row. Bruin quarterbacks haven’t thrown for a single touchdown pass in a month. A Bruin receiver, Randall Carroll, is reprimanded after tweeting about offensive coordinator Norm Chow, using a racial epithet. Coach Rick Neuheisel and Chow are differing on how to use their QBs. The team’s national rankings are 90th in pass offense, 102nd in rush offense, 106th in scoring offense and 109th in total offense.

If I’m Mike Riley, I’m worried.

Frankly, UCLA’s talent is better than that of Oregon State, but the Beavers are a better team than the Bruins.

Draw your own conclusions about which coach is doing a better job, Riley or Neuheisel.

But things can change dramatically over the course of a week in the Pac-10.

UCLA has one of the conference’s better defenses, two of the best specialists in the country in kicker Kai Forbath and punter Jeff Locke, an excellent return man in Terrence Austin and the national co-leader in interceptions in Rahim Moore.
