Two workshops will be held in early November for coaches, parents and players interested in learning how to prevent female sports injuries -- especially to the knees. Both will be led by Laura Ramus, head trainer for the WNBA Detroit Shock.
The first session, for coaches, is scheduled from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Jesuit High School. The interactive clinic will include a 75-page manual with detailed workouts. Cost of the clinic is $30 – dinner included. RSVP to one of the email addresses in this article to receive the manual.
The second clinic, for athletes, parents and coaches, is free. It will run from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at West Linn High School’s performing arts center. Athletes should be at least 9 years of age.
