CHILLIWACK, British Columbia – The Chilliwack Bruins had the Portland Winterhawks' number for the second straight meeting, beating the visitors 6-4 Friday night.
The Hawks, who had won five in a row on the road, lost 5-4 to the Bruins at Portland last Sunday.
Scoring for Portland were Chris Francis, Luke Walker (two goals) and Brad Ross, whose goal at 8:05 of the third period pulled the Hawks to within 5-4.
The Bruins outshot Portland 40-37.
The Winterhawks' three-game trip concludes at Vancouver on Saturday night.
