The Oregon Sports Awards show returns to the Nike World Campus in Beaverton on Sunday, Jan. 31.
The two-hour event at the Tiger Woods Center will honor the state’s top athletes, coaches, teams and more for their performances in 2009 or lifetime achievements.
Ahmad Rashad, Emmy-winning broadcaster and former football star, will be the host for the fourth consecutive year. Rashad, from the University of Oregon, played in four Pro Bowls and one Super Bowl during a 10-year NFL career.
Bill Schonely, the Portland Trail Blazers’ founding broadcaster/ambassador, will serve as show ambassador.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m., for hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar. Desserts and coffee will be available after the show.
