Heavy rain, mountain snow could be on menu for Thanksgiving Day

Heavy rain in December 2015 flooded several streets around the region. The National Weather Service is warning of a series of storms that could hit during the Thanksgiving holiday.

If you're heading over the river and through the woods for Thanksgiving Day, better hang on. It could be kind of stormy.

The reported Monday that blustery weather is headed into the Northwest Wednesday and Thursday, just in time for the holiday. A series of storms will bring rain, snow in the upper elevations and gusty winds on the Oregon Coast and some parts of the northern Willamette Valley.
