Ten Portlanders with disabilities have filed a federal class action lawsuit charging the city of Portland is violating the Americans With Disabilities Act by allowing homeless tents to block sidewalks.

The suit alleges the city has abdicated its duty to keep sidewalks free of tents for over three years. It says the most blatant examples include Old Town, Chinatown, Downtown, the Pearl District, Central Eastside, Laurelhurst Park and Sunnyside Elementary School.
