Meet the Oregonians who played in Super Bowl LV

NFL star Ndamukong Suh took part in a 2013 ceremony to dedicate the new turf field at Grant High School, his alma mater. He also had a memorable game at this year's Super Bowl.

Tom Brady, naturally, was named MVP of Tampa Bay's 31-9 throttling of the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 7 in Super Bowl LV, but the difference in the game was at the line of scrimmage — particularly the battle between the Buccaneers' defensive line, including Ndamukong Suh — formerly of Grant High School in Northeast Portland — and the Chiefs' offensive line and Mike Remmers — an alumnus of Jesuit High School and Oregon State University.

Suh was credited with one-and-a-half sacks as the former Grant General collected his first Super Bowl title. His crunching sack on Patrick Mahomes provided an exclamation point on a dominating performance by Tampa Bay's defense.
