New police chief takes formal oath at historical society ceremony

New Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw took her formal oath of office Monday morning, Jan. 22, during an Oregon Historical Society ceremony.

Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw was formally sworn in Monday morning at the Oregon Historical Society.

Outlaw is the city's 48th police chief. She is a 19-year veteran of the Oakland Police Department. She officially began work in early October.
