Poll: White supremacy has support, sympathy in Oregon

Members of the Oregon Klu Klu Klan met with Portlands mayor and other top law enforcement officials in 1921 for a meeting covered in local newspapers.

New polling indicates there is some open support, and potentially stronger sympathy, for the aims of white supremacy movements in Oregon.

The shifts were noted in findings released Thursday, June 10, by the Western States Center, an organization based in Portland that promotes values of inclusive democracy.
