The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 3 general election is Tuesday, Oct. 13.
There are three ways to register:
• Online at the Oregon Secretary of State's website (sos.oregon.gov) before midnight on Oct. 13.
• In person at county elections offices by 7 p.m. on Oct. 13.
• By mail with the letter postmarked before Oct. 13.
To register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Oregon, and at least 16 years old. No one will receive a ballot until they are 18, however.
To register online, you will need an Oregon driver's license, permit or ID card number issued by the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV). If you do not have any of these, you will need to fill out a PDF form, print and sign it, and deliver it to your county elections office to complete your registration.
You can also confirm and update your registration online (sos.oregon.gov).
Ballots in Multnomah County will begin to be mailed to voters on Oct. 14. They must be returned to the county elections division by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3. The last day to safely mail a ballot is Oct. 27. Information about secure drop boxes can be found online (multco.us/elections).
