Samuel Scott Peterson

July 30, 1958 to May 1, 2023 - Samuel (better known as Sam) Scott Peterson was born July 30, 1958 in Newberg and passed away after a short battle with cancer on May 1, 2023 in his home in Newberg.

He was a loyal friend, beloved family member and hard worker. Sam was known for his infectious sense of humor and great smile. He will be remembered as a father figure to many and a dear friend to countless more. He attended Newberg Public Schools with the Class of 1976. Sam worked many years for Skanska Construction and other construction companies. He specialized in commercial construction on many buildings including Providence Newberg Hospital and Portland Fire & Rescue Station 21, retiring as concrete superintendent.
